Little Morning Sunshine (blog) The Heart Aroused.... Perhaps the right way to find our place of belonging in this world is by stumbling towards it. I think we must first realize how desperately out of place we feel. At times when we feel so out of sorts, some might label the feelings as depression but I feel more correctly it’s a case of, ‘it’s time to go inward now for a time’! If we are able to practise going inward, we eventually come to realize that much of what we might relate to as depression, is in fact only a cry for something else, a need for change. Often the physical body simply needs a rest, a time for contemplation so to draw attention to a long forgotten courage deep inside. A courage within that we have neglected to hear or observe, an awareness that has long been discarded and forgotten. It seems that to find the real path we have to go off the path we are now on, even if it only for a short interruption from our daily life it grants us a chance to be witness to something else. How are we to know that anything else exists if we don’t wander astray from what is safe and familiar? Without the courageous wanderers of centuries ago, we would not know this World as it is. Many of the warriors who sought to explore, travelled aimlessly across the seas in search of something more, courage was in their blood, they were no different than you and me here now. Bravery is the ability to do something that frightens us, facing our wildest fears after all is how we evolve. Humans don’t like to move out of their easy zone, the Ego insists the comforts remain familiar. Appetites for change come from the Soul if we do not feed the hunger when the pains are calling, when will you decide to nourish your Self, when it is too late? Don’t feel burdened by your unruly feelings, use them as a tool to stumble, seek not a way to quiet the disruptive, instead invite chaos, disorder and be disobedient to your Ego mind.  Much love and devotion Annanda

Little Morning Sunshine (Blog) Do You Dare To Be Honest!! Some humans have no trouble speaking their mind, the question might be what is it they are telling you? Is it words to unload their fears, place blame, question your purpose in their life, or other nonsense they are not spiritually mature enough take responsibility for? It seems the term ‘speaking our truth’ is a little overrated has been completely misconstrued and miscomprehended. There are a variety of humans who interpret the word ‘truth’ with seemingly many different evaluations. It is within my personal belief in order to express the truth of anything it must come from a place of compassionate sincerity, with authentic realism expressed from a Soul who has been cleansed of inaccurate evaluations based on Ego beliefs and limited conditioning. In other words, speaking ‘the truth’ is a privilege that is earned by a tremendous degree of hard work. Please note that any one of us are mentally, emotionally, and spiritually able to labour towards the calling of speaking our truth and it is my biggest wish that many actually do. Honesty that is of positive service, is something that involves prolonged training, deep internal observations must become understood and identified. A necessary karmic cycle will undergo to eliminate negative thought patterns, how can you be held accountable for speaking your truth if you are not able to identify with your Ego voice?  Words are abundant in any dictionary in any language, words which allow us to authentically express our Self to another whatever the circumstance should be chosen carefully because when they are you can be sure that they came from your Soul and not your Ego mind. Expressions of a person’s moral and emotional nature (the Soul) to another persons Soul is the only natural law of truth.  Much love and devotion Annanda

Little Morning Sunshine (Blog) Your Soul Goes Everywhere With You Our Soul is like a backpacker on holiday, carrying everything he needs is his trusty sack that sits comfortably on his back, it never leaves his side, it becomes a vital possession once he enters the forest. Our Soul tags along with us where ever we go, a trusting friend indeed once we become independent in the world. Our Ego is constantly with you as well, always in the shadows but never far away. Often times we are reluctant to invite our mind to spend time with us, the trouble is the Ego waits for no invitation, it thinks nothing of being an unwanted guest to any occasion, so most often the choice is not ours to make. Recognizing there are two equations to who we are, it then becomes a process of equating one part from the other, situations and circumstances are opportunities for us to question the identification of whether it is our Soul or our Ego that wants to offer up assistance or advice.  Several factors must be taken into account, the Ego loves to create drama, what exactly is drama you ask? Drama is anything that appears theatrical or show business-y, like performances in a soap opera, everything is dramatic, overemotional and exaggerated. The Soul, however, is a feeling of all knowing, what does that actually feel like I can hear you saying! Conscious awareness is intended to feel peaceful, calm, quiet and wilful, no drama, no panic, no need to take long deep breaths, it is a feeling that brings a clear and absolute message, ‘everything is going to be ok’, kind of attitude. It’s comforting at least to know that wherever we are and whomever we are with our Soul is right there with us just in case we might need some support or encouragement. In simply understanding our Ego is along for the ride as well, whether we like it or not, allows us to form an alliance or a treaty if you will so we might work together with the two equations of who we are. Understanding which is which, is it our Soul or our Ego that is trying to do the talking takes practice, patience and courage. Soul work is labour that grants incredible results, so please don’t give up, keep working hard, the Universe recognizes you.  Much love and devotion Annanda

Little Morning Sunshine (Blog) Our Buddha Nature Is Our Super Power Buddhism is a simple philosophy, live your life in accordance with dharma. In Buddhism, dharma means ‘cosmic law and order’, in other words, be a good person and know your integrity inside and out. Trustworthiness is a quality of fairness that we all aspire to, having integrity means doing the right thing in a reliable way and with honesty. We have this belief that we are taught to be good and honest people, but a large degree of our behaviours and patterns come from sources that are far from moral. It is because of these internal beliefs that we have absorbed from outer sources, that we end up suffering from decisions we make that don’t serve us well. To live is to learn, bottom line, end of story, we are here to learn and learning does, in fact, come from hard lessons we put our Self through, we can not blame anyone else for our misery. This statement is true simply because we have a valuable tool inside of us to assist us in our decision making, so we don’t wander astray. This impeccable tool is our intuition, our superpower and it is available at all times to help us stay on course with our dharma (integrity). Our intuitive nature is a natural part of who we are, it is the embodiment of our Soul, the goodness of our Self and superb quality of our Spirit. Perfection, however, is not a state humans acquire, not realistically but a lot of us do work very hard to enhance and improve our integrity for the vital betterment of society. Buddha nature is absolute, as humans, we are not unlimited to raising our consciousness, we are not subject to any limitations, contrary to our Ego beliefs, therefore it is important to understand that we have an unrestricted power within our Selves to reach our highest potential. If you are diminishing your Self in any way, and you are able to ‘see’ this behaviour in your actions towards your Self, please stop. You are a divine person trying very hard to make your way spiritually through a maze of human living, not an easy task indeed. Never give up on your quest to find the Buddha nature that resides in the Soul of who you are, you are deserving of a good life. Much love and devotion Annanda

Little Morning Sunshine (Blog) Simple Acts Of Kindness Warm and generous considerations by way of compassionate acts of kindness are not necessarily natural for humans. Empathic people are gentle and big-hearted by character, these traits are the basis of their inherent Souls, to be aware of opportunities that allow acts of kindness is most likely the truest representation of their Spirit. A chance to bring a smile, to warm a heart, to give another person a moment in time to feel something deep in their Soul should never be overlooked. Whatever the situation if there is an occasion to make kindness possible, then do something. We do indeed have a lot to learn from the Empaths about humility and modesty. As we well know, what doesn’t come to us as a natural part of our awareness we are devoid and vacant of the thought entirely. We may see a beggar on the street but we only ‘see’ him, there is no thought to offer food or money and so we walk past and do nothing. Chances are our Ego comes to tell us stories of the beggar, ‘if I give him money he will only buy drugs or booze’, which enhances our withdrawal from acting out of kindness. Why are we not able to detach our Self from the outcome of anything we do? Our mental and emotional attachments hold back our Soul from possibilities that are endless, potentials that may enhance our lives in the most sublime and delightful ways. Simple acts of kindness may be the key to inspiring even the most insentient Spirits, allowing an incapable feeling to become the opposite. What we so often forget is, ‘we are all in this together’, this sentiment has great value, life is a gamble for each of us, we can wager on keeping it simple, or making it difficult. Kindness allows us to offer a gift from our heart, simply to make another Souls' heart beat faster with joy, there is nothing more than I would rather do, how about you?
