Guest speaker Philip Trunk P. ENG. –
For 36 years Philip Trunk worked in the quality and technical services fields for CRH Canada Group Ltd (formally Holcim Canada, formally St. Lawrence Cement) with his last position being Regional Manager, Technical Support and Standards working closely with CRH Cement, Dufferin Concrete and Dufferin Aggregates on high level quality related items. During his semi-retirement, Phil continues to work with CRH and its various divisions on a contract bases providing training sessions and representing them on 5 different Canadian Standards Association Technical Committees - cement, concrete and 3 nuclear standards plus two industry associated committees (obviously he is very knowledgeable in the field, as they continue to invite him back after technically retiring.)

If you want a presentation on the difference between cement, concrete and concrete quality he can do that. Phil can make it 20-30 minutes or 2 days long, however unless you are suffering from insomnia, he's guessing 2 days is off the table.

Phil's will be sharing why a Ready-Mix Concrete producer such as Dufferin Concrete (or Sarjeant's) has so many different mixes, and the why the type of finish typically applied to a residential garage floor can lead an unhappy homeowner. ... People in the wood/window/salvage/alarm/etc industries may not care (unless they have a garage floor with this problem) yet ALL information is good information. How can you miss this one!
