Eric believes that the way out of poverty is education. Before kids can take advantage of the offer of education, they have to have stable shelter and food. Creation of Hope provides these things and continues to support their education as far as each child can succeed. Faith started receiving financial assistance from Creation of Hope when she entered grade nine. This picture from her graduation from the University of Nairobi as a high school teacher!
This year Creation of Hope has a $5000.00 shortfall. This has a great deal to do with COVID. When schools shut down the kids who were boarding at high school, college and university came home. They needed to be fed and big kids eat way more than the little ones. Kenya has not had the access to vaccines that Canada has had.
I am making jam (Strawberry, Strawberry Blueberry, and Strawberry Rhubarb). Because of the" uncertain" craft sale season ahead this fall, I am making about half of what I have made in the past. If there is a certain variety (varieties) of jam that you would like, I would suggest that you preorder to ensure that you get your first choice. You can preorder by sending me a message or an email. I intend to make small amounts of all 24 kinds.
