I am going to start out walking with Eric. Because of my ankylosing spondylitis , I know that walking the entire 42 km will not be possible for me. I will walk as far as I can on May 14th I'm hoping you would be willing to make a donation to assist Creation of Hope in closing this funding gap. The link to go directly to the page is below. This link will take you to an organization called Hope Story that manages donations for Creation of Hope. They are able to issue tax receipts

On May 14th, Eric is going to be walking 42 kilometers from the Burlington/Hamilton border to Toronto to raise money for Creation of Hope. When he visits Kenya, Eric often spends time walking the dusty roads, through the mountain passes to meet people and visit homesteads. Now instead of walking in Kenya, he is walking for Kenya. At the same time, Ruth will be walking with some of the orphans in Kenya.
Eric Walters, Canadian author and Member of the Order of Canada, and his son travelled to Kenya in 2007 to visit with a Kenyan-Canadian friend. The Creation of Hope project began because of a chance meeting with a young orphan boy – Mutuku – in the marketplace of Kikima, Kenya. Subsequently Eric discovered that Mutuku was one of more than 500 orphans spread across the Mbooni district in rural Kenya. Outreach to this one orphan became four, and then 40, and the project currently supports over 400 orphans and impoverished children throughout the area. (www.creationofhope.com)
