Little Morning Sunshine (Blog) BETTER..... The use of the word better, you have heard this world before I know you have, but most likely when you did it was used in an unpleasant way and hearing it upset your Soul. To be better at anything has a tone of superiority, something humans have a desire for, the finer things in life and being considered in a class of higher quality. We strive the whole of our life to better our external life, paying little attention to the effects our excessive wants and needs are injuring our Planet. We elect other people to take care of what we don’t take care off, they will make it all right we say to ourself, leave it in their hands to take care of it, but in the end the elected don’t fulfil their promises and when the time comes we simply elect someone else, hoping for better. I often wonder, will the time ever come for humans to decide a shift in conscious awareness is the only answer, so better choices can be made? What if people agreed to vote in the one person they know can do the job better than anyone, what if each of us held a place in our own public office (our homes, workplace…) and we accomplished what so many we have trusted, have not. Better must start with each and every one of us, not to better what we have materially above and beyond what is enough, but instead increase our desire to better take care of the earth we rely on to survive. Better is a matter of trust, a firm belief in the reliability the confidence and the credence of someone or something, our relationship with our planet must be built on who we trust now and not on what we don’t have conviction in anymore. Let us commit to the safekeeping of our Earth like we have never before, we are running out of time we need to tap into the protective adrenaline that runs through our veins when we sense we are in danger. Better is a matter of survival and in order to remain, we should be compelled more than ever to stop overlooking the mess our planet is in. Hearing the world better used to hurt when we were kids, everyone wanted us to be perfect, but perfection isn’t a possibility in a world so unstable, we must all fight to prevent it from getting any worse.  Much love and devotion Annanda

Little Morning Sunshine (blog)There’s A Rubbish Bin In Your Head....... Is it time to start composting or will you be simply taking out the trash again? The analogy between the garbage in our head and the waste we put out to the side of the road once a week has some interesting similarities. The matter that has served its purpose and we no longer have a use for, such as plastic and styrofoam are thrown away in a garbage bin until the Transfer Station truck comes along and takes it away. Some of the other waste such as food scraps and tea bags we throw in a composter until it breaks down into another substance that we can actually use again. The way our mind works most of the time resembles what we do with our trash, we throw our thoughts into a container (our Ego) and periodically we try to clean it out. The problem is we don’t dispose of our thoughts, more often than not we just transfer them to another area of our mind, they don’t dissolve or disappear, they have just simply been moved to another part of our thinking. Nothing ever happens to the trash we put out, it just sits and sits for years and years, our thoughts do the same, nothing changes, the stuff in our head is still there festering over time. Composting, on the other hand, has many benefits and is much more logical and practical. Rather than just disposing of what we no longer have a use for and placing it somewhere else (out of sight out of mind), composting transforms the waste into something useful and worthwhile. Spiritually speaking, taking some of our wasteful thoughts from our Ego and breaking them down so as to make use of them in a more untroubled and functional way helps not only our Self but the collective as a whole as well. When we put our trash out, we actually don’t get rid of it, we just send it off to sit and suppurate in another location. The garbage in our head does the same, our thoughts sit for years all the while increasing in negative intensity, we may try ways to shift our perceptions from time to time but if the problem is never resolved completely, the garbage in our head stays the same, it never breaks down and dissolves. So what do you want to do from now on, take the trash out and forget about where it is going to end up, or would you like to start composting and turning your thoughts into something more useful and beneficial?  Much love and devotion Annanda

Little Morning Sunshine (blog) You Can Repair Your Life So We Can Repair Our Planet...... Our lives are a tangled web of nothing more than situations and circumstances to assist in the evolution of our Soul. Using our free will we make choices that set us up for the challenges that we face, to help us grow in the direction our Soul needs to take. The healthier our self-esteem, our self-worth, and our self-respect determines how well we make choices that affect our lives. From a child, our ego absorbs all of what we experience in our external surroundings. We don’t have choices until we reach the age of about 7. At this influential age, we begin to experience life away from our parents and any significant people who have played a part in our life so far. We begin to make our own decisions about friends and how we interact with people we choose for yourself. Our free will can cause us a great deal of trouble if we do not have a healthy relationship with our Self. What the ego absorbed during the first years of our life is crucial to how our life will turn out as we begin to mature. It isn’t until the Universe decides to get our attention for the reason of getting us back on track with our Souls mission do we begin to understand the true meaning of our life.  This attention can happen in a number of ways, whether it through illness, a divorce or the loss of a family member these kinds of events can catapult us into asking some deep and intimate questions of yourself. ‘What the heck is life all about’, ‘why am I here’, ‘do I have to be so angry and frustrated with my life’, ‘what is the reason for my illness’? These are very good questions indeed and ones that deserve to be answered. Diving deep into the depths of who you are, far deeper than you have ever dared to go before is the beginning, this is where you begin to repair your life. Healing comes from the inside out, this process is often called a ‘spiritual journey’. Spiritual because it isn’t about what is happening or has happened in your external world, the decisions you have made until now are in the past, you have either learned from your past or you have not. The journey is about going inward and healing from your conditioned behaviours, all of the stuff you inherited from your ancestors (parents) so you may begin to unlearn what is harming you in your life in the present. In the world we live today it is more important now that we begin to heal ourselves, it is the only way we will feel empowered enough to make a difference on this planet. We can’t physically be where the disasters are and I know myself it is difficult to accept this truth, but we can all help to raise the vibration of this earth and god knows this is what we need more than anything else. Begin to take a look at where you need to make adjustments in your life, recognize your ego voice and start to challenge what it says to you. This task will help to strengthen your intuition, the universal energies which reside within you, this is your voice of reason to help you make decisions that will serve you well going forward. You deserve to be happy, content and free, and this earth deserves to vibrate with energies that are healthy and vibrant too, it is our duty as human Souls to take care of what so many take for granted.   Much love and devotion Annanda

Little Morning Sunshine (blog) The Sun’s First Appearance........ There is a certain peacefulness about the early mornings of a brand new day. Moments, before the sun creeps above the horizon birds, begin to sing, the air chills just a little and anything green like plants, grass and flowers all seem to stand a little taller, they have waited patiently in the dark for the sun to feed them again. On the other side of the world snow and ice cover, the land, a short time before daybreak in these wintery places only the sound the trees make with their icy branches can be heard, moving gently with their heavy load as the wind blows clearing the clouds away, no snow today. As Mother Nature begins to awaken so do humans, stretching with their eyes still closed, time to face another day mutters the Ego. Even before the first breath of a new sunrise, our mind has already latched onto thoughts that seem to weigh us down, no matter how positive we try to be, there is always the voice in our head to tell us stories we have heard so many times before. We are granted scarcely a chance to catch our mind before it strikes, it seems to always be awake before we are. The habit of consciously acknowledging our Ego before it begins to command of us, maybe more difficult than finding the courage to parachute out of an airplane. Like everything else in humans, life practice makes perfect so they say. Repetition must be repeated to acquire a skill, challenging our Ego is no different, to maintain proficiency you must become fluent in a language that has an understanding of where the stories of the mind come from. Much like rehearsing a drill day after day, intensive training to recognize the judgments of our Ego is the only way to finding peace and empathy for our Self and others as well, of course. There is nothing contemporary about how our mind dictates our sense of personal identity, we have been battling many lifetimes to get to the root of who we truly are. But this life experience is different, you are much more conscious of what you need to do now, fear is only a delusion of our judgemental Ego most all of the time. Fear, trepidation, dread, panic, and dismay are only the work of our distorted thoughts, worry is such a waste of precious time. Wherever you are, whatever life is trust you will know where to go from here. Don’t listen a moment more to the repetitive voice inside of your head that constantly tells you who you are, instead begin to listen to the desires of your Soul, it’s has a much more positive view of the sunrise that brings a brand new day.  Much Love and Devotion Annanda

Little Morning Sunshine (blog) Do You Have Hippie In Your Soul?............ I wish we were all hippies and did yoga. I wish every human was able to embrace freedom in their Soul with no restrictions, limitations or conditions, how about you, is this the imagery you wish for too? Whats your take on all the rules we are made to follow? I’ve never liked following rules. What if more people were open-minded and nonjudgmental, how could the simplicity of being unbiased change our world? A free spirit is one who embraces life to the fullest, and promotes peace and harmony, do you have hippy in your Soul, are you living with this uncomplicated attitude? Humans are made to be fearsome warriors, the time has come for us to stand up for what we believe in, even if it means standing alone amongst the wolves. This is not a time to be delicate, we need to be vast and brilliant, wise and rooted. Greed has become a lifestyle, it crept in when we weren’t looking and took over our minds, where did all our generosity disappear? Hate has become our first language, what happened to our human race, empathy never used to be a dirty word? We have become an entity of destruction with a reality of carelessness, we are meant to be creative, imaginary, intelligent, what happened to our intelligence, by the way, it seems to have been eaten up by selfish gluttonous power. The more I venture away from my forest the more I feel dazed and confused, how did we allow our world to get to the state it’s in, what happened? We need to start fighting like hell, all of us each and every one of us, if you have hippy in your soul you must already feel the earth crying beneath your feet. What good will our money do if eventually, Mother Earth turns our back on us for good? We are not listening to the warning signs, we think the people in power will take care of things, but not all of ‘them’ have their integrity intact. The conservation of our natural resources is the fundamental problem, unless we solve this problem it will avail us little to solve all others, there will be nothing left to fight for. The harmony between man and land has gone incomplete and destructive disarray and I’m embarrassed to say, it’s the fault of humans. Rise up with your hippy soul and do your part each of us can make a difference this we already know, do not wait until our compulsion becomes an unavoidable regret. My favourite colours are blue and green, what colour do you want future generations to experience?  Much love and devotion Annanda
