Microdermabrasion refers to a cosmetic procedure in which the stratum corneum (dead outermost surface of the skin) is partially or completely removed by light abrasion on the face or other areas of the body. Dull, damaged, aging skin is removed revealing vibrant, smooth, even textured skin beneath.
