About Us

Transition Town Huronia is a local group working to unite the communities of Midland, Penetanguishene, Tiny, Tay and Christian Island and encourage its residents to make positive and sustainable changes that enhance the transition from oil dependence to local resilience.

TTH’s mission to create a more resilient community is by:

• Providing education and expanding awareness of peak oil and climate change;
• Awakening a responsibility for food, transportation, fuel and social networks;
• Strengthening connections between local organizations, businesses and government; and,
• Fostering opportunities that engage people to work together with greater harmony and mutual respect.
