A Pop Up Store has opened in downtown Midland so stop by to: · purchase your 2018 Terry Fox t-shirt · pick up pledge forms for the Terry Fox Run · preview and make your bids on our Silent Auction items · purchase used books and VHS tapes Store Hours: Tuesday, September 11th to Saturday, September 15th 11:00 am – 4:00 pm The Terry Fox Silent Auction will relocate to Perkinsfield Park Sunday, September 16th from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. Bidding will close at 2:00 pm Sunday and successful bidders will be notified that evening. Items can be picked up and paid for (cash or credit card) at the Pop Up Store as follows: Monday, September 17th to Friday, September 20th 11:00 am – 2:00 pm 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm Thank you for your support. Last year our generous and caring community contributed over $76,000 to life-saving cancer research. With your continued support, in 2018 our community will have given over $2,000,000 to the Terry Fox Foundation since our first Run in 1983. This Run demonstrates the Heart of Georgian Bay like no other charitable event. The research you are funding is working; survival rates and longevity have vastly improved for many types of cancer recently. You are saving lives. Great advances are being made in microbiology and artificial intelligence to prevent/cure cancer. There is still much to do; more research is needed. Our fundraising efforts are still desperately needed. I thank you for leading by example in the past. We need your participation again in 2018. I look forward to the day when we no longer have to fund and search for a cure for cancer but for now we continue to need your generous contribution. Please join us and lead the way again in 2018.
