Tamara was born and raised in Penetanguishene. She graduated as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2001 from Georgian College in Orillia. With 20 years of industry experience, Tamara provides complete hygiene services to the whole family, Monday thru Friday. Along with her busy schedule at our office, she is also the hygienist at Waypoint Centre for Mental Health and works at Christian Island for their COHI program. Tamara is gentle yet thorough, which explains why she has such a loyal following with her patients.

Missy was born and raised in the Midland area, where she resides now with her husband Cory and their 3 children. She graduated in the year 2000 as a Registered Dental Hygienist from Georgian College. In 2017, she self-initiated as an independent dental hygienist. Missy is known for her friendliness, her big laugh and most importantly her thorough but gentle touch. Outside of business hours, Missy can be found chasing kids to their extracurricular activities, camping and listening to live music.

  • In September 2007, Bill 171 was passed. It allowed Registered Dental Hygienists to “self-initiate,” allowing Ontario residents to have the choice of receiving professional oral healthcare by a Registered Dental Hygienist without having to see a dentist at the same time.
  • You are still loyal to your dentist when supporting an independent dental hygienist.
  • Dentists and hygienists provide different services. You see a dentist for dental work, such as fillings, crowns, root canals, etc. You see a hygienist for hygiene services like cleanings and periodontal treatments. You do not have to see them at the same time or under the same roof. This is important and we encourage you to see your dentist on an on-going basis.

  • Complete oral health assessment and health history, including blood pressure screening, assessment of your periodontal (gum tissue) condition and oral cancer exam and screening.
  • Cleaning teeth and removing tartar (also known as calculus) above and below the gum line to prevent gum disease.
  • Fluoride treatments.
  • Sealants, which aid in cavity protection, especially for children with naturally deep grooves in their teeth.
  • Desensitizing: application of an agent used to reduce pain and sensitivity.
  • Teeth whitening: get a whiter, brighter smile.  In-office or take-home are available.
  • Custom-made sports guards to protect those beautiful smiles during sports.
  • Tooth jewels: to add a little glamour to your smile.
