About Us

Private piano lessons are for anyone of any age or ability.  We will start your musical journey where you are comfortable and move forward from there.  Whatever the style of playing you prefer the focus is on the joy of playing music.

What do I mean by style?  Style refers to the type of music, whether it be classical music of past centuries or the more contemporary sound of jazz, blues, rock.  Both the Contemporary Idioms of Conservatory Canada as well as the more traditional classical study of both Conservatory Canada and the Royal Conservatory of Music are available.

 Music for the very young beginner is also available. We have a lot of fun with keyboard, activities and games.  

I am a member of both the Register Music Teachers of Ontario(O.R.M.T.A) and the Canadian Federation of Music Teachers.  To qualify for membership one needs to have an associate degree with one of the conservatories, pass a qualifying test and provide a series of good student examination results.  More information concerning the ORMTA may be found on the ORMTA website and facebook page.
