About Us

Parkview Public School is centrally located in Midland. Established in 1905 as a high school, it's walls evoke a sense of history and tradition. The District EXTENDED FRENCH classes are located in Parkview. Thus there are classes from grades 5-8 involved in the EFSL program. In the last four years all grade 8 students have been able to take a year end trip to Quebec City for a week. As well, opportunities for student exchanges have been made available at the school. The school also has a DISTRICT PRIMARY SOCIAL SKILLS CLASS. Diverse athletic and academic experiences are available at Parkview. Academically, the students have traditionally performed well in District activities such as Oral Communications Festival and Science Fair. A music program involving keyboards, guitars and drums is provided to all students as is, on a more limited basis, a Design and Technology program.
