Giving for a Cause is a fun, relaxed, social event that pools together donations from people in our
community to support and sustain local charities, now and forever.

New this year, men and women are invited to participate in this worthwhile cause.

Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm
at Restaurant Sainte-Marie
Complimentary hors d’oeuvres, cash bar, and evening entertainment.

A $100 donation provides you with a form to nominate your local charity of choice. An initial draw takes place during the
evening, and three charities will be chosen at random. All in attendance cast a subsequent vote,
and the charity with the most votes will receive a cheque for 50% of all of the money donated PLUS
an Endowment Fund will be set up in the charity’s name for the remaining half of the donations,
all care of the Huronia Community Foundation.

The creation of an Endowment Fund is a unique and important part of this fundraising initiative
as it will ensure sustainability for the winning charity for years to come.

last year’s social raised $10,100 for Hospice Huronia!

Once you’ve made your $100 donation, we will email your nomination form.

The Huronia Community Foundation will issue the charitable receipts for each donation and guarantees
that 100% of every donation will go to the chosen charity – no overhead or administration fees.

If you participated in this event last year with your work colleagues, please consider creating an
office pool this year too. A small donation from each member of your team will quickly add up!
