The OMFRC issues Certificates of Aboriginal Status. Unlike other Metis organizations we are often able to issue certifcates based on our own records and therefore require less documentation from applicants. Usually your family history, or if you have it, your family tree is sufficient. We have a dedicated staff of volunteer researchers who add to our family record collections on a daily basis.
