$15.00

Description

"The McNamara Brothers" chronicles the hockey dominated lives of three Canadian brothers, of French/Irish descent, who were raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

Stanley Cup winners George and Howard McNamara, together with brother Harold, are all members of the Penetanguishene Sports Hall of Fame, with George having the added prestige of being inducted into the illustrious Hockey Hall of Fame.

From 1904 to 1920, while playing for such teams as the Canadian Soo, Montreal Shamrocks, Toronto Tecumsehs, Edmonton Pros, Halifax Crescents, Toronto Blueshirts, 228th Battalion, and Montreal Canadiens, and with George and Howard taking time off to serve in World War One; the McNamara brothers epitomized how men with strength of character could represent with respect and honour, not only the game and business of hockey, but their team, league, and country as well.
