Tatham Engineering's King Street Rejuvenation project in the Town of Midland was recognized as a Municipal Concrete Award recipient at last week's Ontario Good Roads Association's conference. The King Street project was triggered due to significant deficiencies with the performance and function of downtown Midland. Tatham and Envision-Tatham Inc. were retained to help improve the area road corridors, which included the development of a consistent style and cross section, redesign of all above and below ground infrastructure along King Street, and provision of administration and inspection services during construction.
This was one of the largest endeavors undertaken by the Town of Midland, and despite the hurdles of construction during Covid-19, the project was completed on time and on on budget.
