Here some great tips to enjoying Ontario's Best ButterTart Festival happening this Saturday, June 11th in Downtown Midland!

Festival Season is back!
And Ontario's sweetest festival is taking place this weekend.
.
1) Plan your trip: Check the #buttertartFestival website for maps, events, information, parking, and updates.
.
2) Arrive Early: the festival is open from 9AM to 5 PM, with events and judging starting early. Also – many bakers sell out quickly.... avoid disappointment.
.
3) Wear comfortable shoes: You will be doing a fair bit of walking up and down the main streets of the festival, through the town of Midland, and the waterfront.
.
4) Dress for the weather: This is an outdoor festival – check the weather report for the day, and dress accordingly. It can get quite hot.
.
5) Stay Hydrated: Bring your own refillable water bottle to stay hydrated – there are water refilling stations located throughout the festival route as well.
.
6) Bring Sun Protection: Have sunscreen, sunglasses, & a hat to protect yourself from the Sun.
.
7) Bring reusable tote bags: you will likely be buying a lot of treats, have several reusable tote bags on hand to carry your sweet haul.
.
8) Cash is King: While most vendors offer card payment options, some may only take cash. Be prepared by having cash on hand. There are several ATMs / Banks in town where you can get cash as needed.
.
9) Wet Wipes – be prepared for the inevitable gooey & sticky mess that may occur from eating butter tarts on the go.
.

And…..
10) Have Fun

These suggestions will help you thoroughly enjoy Ontario's Sweetest Festival.
