Repost • Midland is a small, charming town about two hours drive north of Toronto. It is renowned for its murals, considered a mural community. There are over 30 murals scattered around the downtown core. Midland is one of Ontario's largest and finest outdoor art galleries. This series of photos I took is only a sample of the kind of murals displayed around downtown Midland. The first and second photos are for the “Huron Native and Jesuit Priest at Sainte-Marie." It is the largest historic outdoor wall mural in North America. Sainte Marie Among the Hurons is the first European settlement in Ontario and is considered a National Historic Site. This mural measures 80 ft high and 250 ft wide and can be seen from the Pier of the Midland Town Dock.
