This is an original Encaustic painting on  gallery birch panel.  "Encaustic" refers the art of painting using molten bee's wax and pigment, and the use of a blow torch to fuse the colour during the process.  This method has been used since ancient Egypt, and some art peices have survived for over 2,000 years.
