A Hearth for Under your woodstove?
Codes and Standards stipulate that all stoves require hearth protection under the unit that is a
minimum of 8” wider that the stove on both sides, 8” at the rear and 18” in front of the loading door
A Hearth Extension for in Front of your wood-burning insert
Fireplace inserts require a minimum of 18” in front of the loading door as well.
Standard fireplaces [open masonry] require only a 16” fontal hearth so when you upgrade to a Fireplace Insert,
you need to extend your hearth to meet Code and Standard requirements
Wall Protection for behind the Woodstove to reduce Clearances
Metal panels than can reduce up to 85% + of the Stoves listed rear clearance.
Reductions will vary depending on the TYPE and STYLE of wall protection you are installing
