WETT Code Compliance Fireplace Inspections
Description
More and more people are turning back to wood burning systems to heat their homes.
Open fireplaces, free-standing woodstoves, fireplace inserts, pellet burners and more.
While less expensive than other fuels, like oil and natural gas/propane, wood burners also pose
a greater risk of fire if not properly maintained and inspected.
If you currently heat your home (completely or partially) with wood,
it is in your best interest to have your system inspected by a Wood Energy Technical Transfer (WETT) specialist.
Even if you sweep by yourself, you final spring sweep should be done by a Trained Certified Professional
to ensure your system is performing at its best and is in good condition.
The Pictures above are some of the things we find in chimneys and systems that can be a hazard
In fact, most insurance companies today require a Code Compliance Report / WETT by a Certified Technician Sweep to honour your policy.
A Code Compliance Report/WETT Inspection, by AIM Chimney Sweep,
will help to ensure that your already installed system is installed and operating correctly,
and that it poses no threat to your home and family.
BUT, bare in mind that, we can only report on what we SEE unless we do invasive measures.
Our WETT inspectors will also tell you how to properly maintain your system to make sure your family is safe year after year.
